It has been entirely too long my Pleasant Notice readers and my apologies for the lack of posts! But all is well and it's time to pick up where we left off. In a couple of weeks, my semester classes will start and I'm certainly ready to embrace everything heading my way. I have a lot to look forward to and right now, I'm happy where I am. For a moment, it seemed like everything and everyone was passing me by, and I felt so lost and out of place. I kept wondering why certain things weren't going my way, instead of appreciating all the things I did have going for me. And that's something I'm learning to do day by day. You will never be happy constantly comparing your lives to others and what they have. All the doors that kept shutting in my face felt permanent and I was wrong. Very wrong. Like the saying goes, "When one door closes, another one opens." I most definitely am a witness to that. I've realized that what's meant for you is meant for you, and that some things that you really wanted you don't get because there is something far more amazing waiting on you. I've heard so many no's in these past couple of months and it seemed I would never hear another yes. I got so discouraged to the point where I really wanted to give up. But I couldn't. I made it too far to give up and throw away years of hard work and dedication. And I'm thrilled to say that a couple of weeks ago, I finally received the yes I'd been searching for. A door finally opened for me to walk through and conquer. Now, I see what I had been doing wrong that entire time. You can't sit in your misery and let that keep you down. You have to get back up and try again and again and again. Be thankful for everything going right in your life and everything that isn't going right, take it as a lesson and learn from it. You have to be willing to go through the storm for a brighter day.......patience is key.

Keep Moving
Good evening Pleasant Notice readers! So much has happened this past month and lets just say that mentally, I'm in a brand new space. In a good way though. I'm certainly going through the motions and learning how to deal with certain situations more and more from day to day. With school, it has certainly been more challenging than ever, especially academically, and this is my junior year in college. Late nights, early mornings, and exams are making me go insane! But I refuse to let grades stress me out this semester because as long as I continue to try hard and do my best, everything should work out in my favor as it always has.
This new space I said I'm in mainly reflects things I'm going through and what I've seen people who are close to me go through. You start to realize that there are some things bigger than you and it starts to put so much in perspective. Realizing what's important and what's not can help you figure out what your next best move might be.
Your brighter days outshine your dark days and in time, they shall pass.

Hello January!
Good evening my Pleasant Notice readers and I hope your holiday season was filled with tons of
happiness and laughter! I'm certainly enjoying this break from school and with this being the last week I'm school free, I thought it was the perfect time to do a little blogging here and there and to keep you guys updated on where I see Pleasant Notice going in the future. The most important thing I like about blogging is the ability to express myself and I love it so much because writing has always been a passion of mine. Since starting PN in May, I have really enjoyed the posts I've done but I feel like the posts that focus more on me shedding light on my experiences and giving advice from those moments in my life is something I enjoy doing, rather than focusing on music and fashion which I am by far not an expert on. For this reason, I plan on doing posts based on what I deal with day to day. I'm not going to completely abandon the posts about music, fashion, or other things in the entertainment world but I feel the need to focus on other things at the moment. Change is okay and one thing I'm learning to do is to take more risks than I normally do. Thanks for the support and join me as we take on this brand new journey.

And just like that, things are looking better
Stressing doesn't solve anything. Stressing doesn't solve anything. Stressing doesn't anything.
Hard work pays off and never goes unnoticed. I put my all into this past semester of college and I am so happy it's finally over. I could really write a book about everything that went wrong and right these past couple of months of my life. I might not understand it now, but everything I went through, good and bad, brought me to this point and I couldn't be any happier. I spent so much time over-thinking and analyzing different situations for no reason. Stressing doesn't solve anything. And I had to learn that the hard way. Reflecting on this past semester has taught me a lot about myself. I have to learn to stop doubting what I can or cannot do without even trying first. It's time for me to branch out and try different things.
I've experienced triumphs and letdowns in such a sort period of time this semester, but through it all, I remain on top. I overcame every obstacle that was thrown at me and doors have opened up for me to take full advantage of. I had to understand that being taken out of one situation wasn't the end of the world; something else was better in store. Stressing doesn't solve anything.
Be grateful for what you have. Don't take anything for granted. As long as you try your best and give something your all, that's all that matters. You might not get it the first, second, or third time but what's meant for you is meant for you. Let things happen in its natural course and never rush a process. Enjoy the moment and watch things develop right before your eyes......it can be the most beautiful thing in the world. It might even teach you something. Learn from the constructive criticism of your peers and understand that it's to make you, not break you. Laugh, love hard, and always remember: Stressing doesn't solve anything.

Wow, It's Already December?!
Good afternoon Pleasant Notice readers! I hope everyone had a very blessed Thanksgiving because I certainly did. It felt great to be back home and spend special time with my loved ones I haven't seen
in a while. Good food and good people are one of my favorite combinations and I couldn't ask for a better day. With the holiday season kicking in, there is so much to do in so little time! Can you guys believe we are in the very last month of the year? Right now is a crazy time for me because I have finals next week so it is definitely crunch time. I'm trying my hardest not to stress and to finish the semester off strong. I have a lot of other things going on but I know I can do it! Positive energy and positive vibes!
I'm so proud of the growth of Pleasant Notice and I'm eager to see what's in store. I'm not going to keep making promises about doing this or that with the blog because I know how things get so I will just let my actions speak.
So with this being the last month of the year, what is something you want to do before New Years? We should all go out with a bang and focus our time and energy on getting things done. Lets reflect on how far we have come and what we have to look forward to. Guess what time it is!!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!
You can feel it in the air......you are anxiously waiting until next Thursday for Thanksgiving.....and Black Friday shopping has been on your mind like crazy lately!! Yes, holiday season is quickly approaching and I must say that I am so excited for everything that's in store. As a college student, this has been a very tiring and stressful semester so this upcoming break for Thanksgiving is much needed and I'm so ready to be around my loved ones making incredible memories and stuffing my face with all the amazing food I've been waiting all year round for! So enjoy this time with your family and live in the moment. Offer to cook with your mom, be social with family members you haven't seen in a while, and have the time of your life. I feel as if we take for granted these precious moments of our lives and as the years roll on, we realize what we had in the years prior and wish for a chance to go back and do it all over. We get so wrapped up in our own lives to the point where we can't see how much we have put off the things and people who mean the world to us. Well that's what the holiday season brings with so much more. It gives you the opportunity to catch up and see that no matter what you might have going on, your family is here for you and they have your back no matter what. Things get rough and friends come and go but family is forever. And as a sidenote to all my fellow college students, don't let the stress of upcoming finals keep you down over this Thanksgiving break. This is your time to leave everything that has stressed you out about classes on campus and to not worry about it. Trust me when I say everything will be okay and we are all in this together. I've been there, done that, and with my past experiences around crazy final time is that everything eventually worked out for the best, and I wasted valuable time worrying over nothing. As long as you know you have tried your best, that is all that matters. So turn up, dance with your grandma, and make sure you leave enough room for dessert this Thanksgiving!!
